Tesla (TSLA) will begin delivering Model 3 automobiles “immediately” on a “first come, first served” basis to reservation holders who have yet to place an order for a specific car. According to Electrek, these are mainly consumers waiting for the base $35,000 model with the standard battery pack.
Tesla notified reservation holders through an email that “as a first day reservation holder [they] are invited to take advantage of this opportunity of a first-come, first-served basis.”
In other news, CEO Elon Musk said late Friday that Jerome Guillen has been promoted to president of automotive, reporting directly to Musk.
Guillen has been with the carmaker for eight years, previously involved with the company’s planned electric Semi freight truck.
